what makes this set so special?

The journey of this piece starts with a stone sculpted by the river that runs along the Eastern boundary of Esk Mountain. This blue dot river is a tributary of Glengarriff River, flowing on through Glengarriff Woods Nature Reserve & on out to meet the sea in Glengarriff Bay. This river is home to the now rare freshwater pearl mussel along with otters & kingfishers. We have been working to remove Rhododendron ponticum from along the river banks to allow the light & in turn life to return to our section of the river. Streamscapes conduct an annual survey of our watercourses to track impact over time & ensure we’re doing everything we can to maintain & improve the health of this important watercourse.
